Need To Knows: Building Constructed in 1958; No neighbors above or below the apartment; No Smoking allowed inside or on-site; No Pets Allowed; No Space Heaters Allowed; No Musical Instruments Allowed; No Automatic Dishwasher In-Unit; No Short-Term Rentals (Minimum: 1-Year), No Subleases (As the sub-tenant, you *cannot* sub-sublease the rented bedroom.), Renter's Insurance Required; Gas Wall Heater in Main Hallway; New Window Air Conditioner in Living Room; Gas, Electricity, and Internet Utilities are all split 50/50 with the primary tenant.
Neighborhood: Walking distance from Whole Foods, Smart & Final, and Trader Joe's; a Post Office; various coffee shops, cool restaurants, and convenience stores. Friendly, but not nosy, immediate neighbors, most of whom have been in the building for double-digit years; a larger West Hollywood community of neighbors willing to lend a helping hand and/or be a resource for one another. All told, it's a small complex in a quiet, easy-going section of the neighborhood. Whereas the Westside of West Hollywood has more of a party central, going out type of atmosphere, the Eastside is comparatively a very calm, quiet mix of people in their late 20s or 30s, as well as older Eastern European men and women. It's a centrally-located oasis in the middle of Los Angeles! Just the dang best place!
About Me: LGBTQ+, generally neat/tidy/organized, energy-conscious (prefer to open the blinds and let in natural light than use electricity whenever possible), and community-minded Marketing and PR professional newly in my late 30s. I sometimes work from home, sometimes from an office (depending on the week/workload), but either way prefer to keep the home a peaceful place. Fully up-to-date on Flu and COVID-related boosters and still wearing a mask on public transit and just generally being mindful about health and safety issues like this. Enjoy watching movies, reading books, playing games, browsing flea markets and swap meets, playing board games with friends, walking around for leisure and exercise (would very much like to be more active in the year ahead).
