Synopsis: A linguistic Professor’s journey to a remote fictional village becomes a harrowing nightmare when he is abducted and enslaved by Nomadic tribesmen — who in a brutal twist, mutilate him and cut out his tongue. Living among the Nomads for a year, the Professor forgets his former life and becomes a sort of dancing monkey. The story comes full circle when he is sold to another Westerner, a wealthy man whose violence dwarfs that of the Nomads. Memories of the Professor’s previous life resurface and shatter his identity, culminating in a mental breakdown and chaotic escape to freedom.
