Locke Security Gates is a leading provider of security gate systems, automated entry solutions, and access control technologies. We are seeking an experienced Access Control & Security Gate Technician to join our growing team. This role is critical to the installation, service, and maintenance of automated gates, access control systems, intercoms, and integrated security equipment across commercial, multi-family, and high-security sites.
Key Responsibilities
Install, program, troubleshoot, and service access control systems, including keypads, card readers, telephone and IP-based intercoms.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and access control-related issues in gate and entry systems.
Perform low-voltage wiring, terminations, testing, and basic system programming.
Bend, install, and secure EMT conduit and PVC piping in compliance with code and best practices.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and job specifications.
Work independently or as part of a crew to complete projects efficiently and safely.
Maintain a professional, customer-focused presence on all job sites.
Qualifications
2+ years of hands-on experience with access control systems and/or automated security gates (preferred).
Strong understanding of low-voltage systems, gate operators, and access control hardware.
Proven ability to bend conduit, run PVC, and perform clean, code-compliant installations.
Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work in outdoor environments and active job sites.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and quality workmanship.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
