Lux Builders, a respected local residential builder, is seeking a reliable and experienced Construction Foreman / General Contractor Assistant to join our team. We specialize in custom homes, additions, and high-end remodeling projects throughout the South Bay.
Position Overview
This role combines hands-on field supervision with operational support.
You’ll oversee day-to-day site activities, manage crews and subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and assist with logistics, including material deliveries and inspections.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and support construction crews on multiple residential job sites
• Manage daily jobsite operations and workflow to maintain timelines and quality standards
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and city inspectors
• Order, schedule, and (when necessary) deliver materials to project sites
• Transport and haul dumpsters or materials between job sites and waste facilities
• Monitor job site safety, cleanliness, and compliance
• Review blueprints and ensure construction aligns with plans and specifications
• Report progress to project managers and company leadership
Experience & Requirements
• Minimum 10 years of residential construction experience
• Minimum 2 years as a Foreman, Journeyman, or Project Manager
• Deep knowledge of Southern California Building Codes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
• Skilled in material quantity takeoffs and construction math
• Must have a heavy-duty truck and can help deliver materials or move dumpsters between job sites when needed
• Must own personal tools and a heavy-duty truck capable of transporting lumber and materials
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to interact professionally with inspectors, homeowners, and subcontractors
