We are currently hiring an experienced Class A Yard Goat / Hostler Driver for a local, yard-only position in Santa Fe Springs, CA. This role offers guaranteed long hours, premium overtime pay, and daily home time. There is NO road driving, NO routes, and NO OTR work—all work is performed within the yard.
This position is ideal for drivers with strong yard goat experience who want steady work, maximum hours, and consistent pay.
🚛 Position Overview
Operate a yard goat/terminal tractor to move trailers safely within the facility
Fast-paced yard environment requiring precision and strong backing skills
📦 Job Responsibilities
Move, spot, and stage trailers throughout the yard
Hook and drop trailers at dock doors
Perform tight and precision backing in confined spaces
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Complete required paperwork and yard documentation
Follow all company safety policies and yard procedures
💰 Pay & Schedule Highlights
Guaranteed 14-hour shifts
Overtime after 8 hours
Double time after 12 hours
Steady work – no slow days
Home daily
Immediate start available
✅ Requirements (Read Carefully)
Valid Class A CDL
MUST have 5+ years of verifiable yard goat / hostler experience
Strong backing and trailer maneuvering skills
Clean MVR:
Maximum 3 points
No more than 1 at-fault accident
Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
Available for early AM shifts
