Responsibilities
Operate dump trucks with manual transmission
Drive route-specific trucks for delivery and pickup tasks, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels.
Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, routes, and vehicle maintenance records
Follow all safety protocols related to truck operation, load securement, and road regulations to prevent accidents or damage.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
Qualifications
Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with necessary endorsements for operating heavy-duty vehicles; experience with manual transmission preferred.
Familiarity with different types of freight including freight loads requiring load & unload procedures across various industries.
Ability to operate auxiliary equipment like forklifts or hydraulic lifts for loading/unloading cargo.
Knowledge of safety standards related to trucking operations, including proper load securement on flatbeds or tanker trucks.
Strong route planning skills with experience in route driving to optimize efficiency.
