Need a temp spot for car work (Long beach near airport)

Hi
My car broke down and needs some repairs that i could do on my own.
Ive heard of garages that can be rented for that purpose but never seen one. Anybody know of a place like that?
At the moment i really need to find a place close to Long or Huntington Beach where i would be either able to work on it or where i can stow it until i figure out where i can work on it.
Also looking to make new ftriends after just recently moving to the area.
I am also able to pay a monthly rent and I dont plan on leaving it there for more than a few weeks.
