VINTAGE COLUMBIA BICYCLE 5 STAR DELUXE NEW BIKE RX-5 REPLICA 1952 5-Star
I have 2 new vintage USA made Columbia bicycles that have been in storage since 1986. These bikes are vintage replicas made by Columbia Bicycles. This is nothing but a wonderful and quality bicycle. This was produced by Columbia Bicycles in 1986, as a remake of their famous 1950s 5 star deluxe model RX5. The paint alone on this bike if you were to do it with the pinstripe would cost $1000. This is a full size 26 inch mens bike with tank horn, tail light, head light, lock, spring fork, fenders and rack. One bike was professionally put together at a bike shop in 1986 and the other was recently taken out of the original box as the box had deteriorated, some assembly required. These bikes have been selling on e bay used averaging around $1000. I have the paperwork and numbered certificate as the bikes made were limited and each came with a number. This is great for beach cruising or to add to your collection, and what a conversation piece! These bikes were also featured in advertisements pictures attached. This would make an ideal gift and concersation piece. Fun to ride!!
Your cash price for 1 is $1200. If you take both bikes $2000 for both 2

AI Overview
GREAT RARE MENS 1950s COLUMBIA RX5 5 STAR BICYCLE BIKE ...
The Columbia RX5 bike refers to a popular vintage bicycle model, especially the iconic 1952 green and cream Columbia 5-Star Superb, known for its classic balloon tires, springer fork, tank, and fenders, often reproduced as highly detailed die-cast models by brands like Xonex for collectors. Original 1950s models are collectible, but many found today are reproductions from the 1980s/90s, celebrating the original's design.
Key Characteristics:
Model: Often called the "RX5" or "5-Star Superb".
Era: Celebrates the 1952 original, with reproductions appearing in the 1980s/90s.
Color: Famous for its distinctive green with cream trim.
Features: Includes a springer front fork, a tank (often with lights), rear rack, and balloon tires.
For Collectors & Enthusiasts:
Die-Cast Models: Xonex made popular 1/6 scale models with working parts (pedals, chain).
Originals vs. Reproductions: Identifying originals involves checking serial numbers (under the crank) and paint/condition, as reproductions can look very similar.
Reproduction Bikes: Full-size reproduction bikes were also made for events like the 110th anniversary, complete with vintage styling.
In short, if you see a Columbia RX5, you're likely looking at a piece of classic American cycling history, whether it's a tiny replica or a full-sized bike echoing the 1950s design.
