1888-1907 NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC BOUND REPRINTS VOLUMES 1-18
For Sale: 18 volume National Geographic set of 1964 Reprints beautifully bound. This set includes Volumes I to XVIII, (1888 to 1907). This is a complete set of the magazines first 20 years of publication.
The book bindings are by the National Geographic Society, gold-stamped buckram in a light brown color, with heavy endpapers and complete with inserts including Covers, Ads, Maps, and Supplements. Most of the maps are bound in the issues where they originally appeared in the magazine. However, Volumes VII (1896), X (1899), XIII (1902), XV (1904), and XVI (1905) have the maps in a pocket in the back of the book because these maps are very large and thick (See photograph).
The books are in excellent condition with very light wear. The bindings are also in excellent condition with very light wear and are very tight. The interior of the volumes is near mint. There are no markings, name plates, moisture damage, or other defects readily identified on the entire, complete set.
