The Hunter 30-2, 1989 model is a refreshing improvement on most other 30' sailboats built in the late 80's and 90's. The walk-through transom, with improved convenience and safety, was initiated in the US by Hunter in the mid 90's. This improves accessibility to the cockpit both on land and at sea, particularly at Catalina Island getting on and off a dinghy. The fractional rig allows for easier and more efficient sailing. Almost all of your current sailboats are now using fraction rig sailplans. This is a must-see, particularly before you buy a Catalina 30.
