Hi, Hello, Isaac here, if you need a camerguy for some crazy video idea, or photos of any kind, call me, I am that guy.
A little about me:
I"ve worked in the Hollywood film industry for the last 6 years (March 2018-Dec 2024). The company I worked for was IATSE union and I've worked at all the major studios on different projects.
The company I worked for was called 24frame.com and it was located in dtla. The company did car driving scenes with led walls and projectors, it rented functional prop glass televisions and provided video playback on those televisions if the production needed that. The company went under last December after being in business for 25 years.
While working there I wore a stack of hats a mile high. I am a certified master auto mechanic and was originally hired to be the foreman of services and repairs. I serviced and repaired all trucks, vans, trailers, company cars, limousines fork lifts and generators. While doing my main set of work, I was asked to pause that work and assist the film crew with whatever they needed. This was everything from loading and unloading gear, setting up gear with cabling on set and later breaking it down and repacking it into road cases, driving trucks pulling trailers full of gear to local studios or to different studios cross country. Example: I had driven with a co driver to New York and back to Los Angeles about 10 times while working there. If anything mechanical occurred with the truck or trailer, I was the on board mechanic that would fix the issue and we would get back on the road and continue the transpo mission.
I was also tasked with fabricating equipment out of any material required (metal, wood, plastic et ), welding special components, sourcing hardware or special parts, modifying capture vehicles and repairing film gear.
Over time I was tasked with full studio building maintenance and simultaneously was trained to do video playback. After 3 years I was eventually the video playback engineer sent to set to work with the director and help the production create their vision.
I personally did car driving scenes for TV shows such as: It's always sunny in philladelphia, curb your enthusiasm, dead to me, blackish, Lonestar 911, High Potential, Knuckles, Abbot elementary etc etc and an assortment of commercials for Audi, Dodge, Honda, Uber, Pizza hut etc.
I've also done glass crt television, flat screen tv, or projection video playback for several different indie films/projects and more mainstream things such as a doja cat music video, Billy Eilish perfume commercial, Alexander Mcqueen commercial, each london commercial, Fred Segal in store displays, Labron James' The Shop, the last 3 seasons of The Conners, Drew Barrymore commercials for Pluto TV, Arnold Searzeneggar state farm superbowl commercial etc.
While at 24frame, I did learn all about cameras, sound recording, lighting, drones, and Davinci resolve editing. I had access to all of the crews on every production and I would try and learn from each camera, audio, set dec or grip specialist as I went from production to production.
Since the company worked for shut down in December, I made a couple of documentaries about a guy who is trying to start a new "coachella" music venue in the desert above Barstow ca.
