Quite possibly the rarest Carroll Shelby race car on the planet one of only three non- vin plate purpose race cars ever built ,one of only two survivors very rare collectible well documented national record holder ( the other 2 cars have not been located 2 were drag cars and one was a rally car ) in the early 80s Lee Iacocca who now headed up Dodge contacted Carroll Shelby, who was retired and convinced him into helping them build the new Dodge charger platform .Shelby then contacted factory Dodge racer Paul Rossi who campaign the car throughout the country promoting the Dodge brand. Built by Carroll Shelby and Very rare non-vin number car, sold on bill of sale only and not street legal . This car held the NHRA national record for its class from 1989 to 2001. Has quite the race history. Drag Times did an article about this car, and stated that it could be one the rarest Shelbys on the planet. Retains its original interior. It is powered by a 2.2L four-cylinder, heavily modified by Shelby and Rossi , with performance far exceeding the street Shelby Chargers.
