Absolutely Stunning True Vintage 1960's/1970's Black Mod Couch
I'm the second owner of this amazing couch, owned and well cared for for the past 15 years and even having traveled across the country with me from Chicago. My best guess is it's from the late 60's or sometime in the 70's. True vintage and exceptional quality and craftsmanship. It kills me but sadly I just don't have space for it anymore and feel it's time for a new life with a new loving owner. Perfect for a home, business (salon, store, etc), or could be used for movie / tv / ad / etc set use.
Beautiful black vinyl upholstery with a textured floral-ish / abstract pattern, sleek and low profile. Original low-profile design (legs can be added if desired—pre-drilled holes already in place). Converts into a daybed/futon — the seat lifts forward and the back reclines flat. Hidden storage available by lifting the seat.
The vinyl is in fantastic shape, extremely durable having lasted many decades and will last you many more. Only the lightest bit of wear most evident on the armrests from light use due to how durable the fabric is. The vinyl fabric has become unstapled from the back of the sofa but could be restapled easily if you so desire. I never bothered because it's not visible unless it's in the middle of the room.
Measurements:
Width - 80"
Back Height from floor - 26"
Depth (without converting to daybed) - 28.5"
Seat height from ground - 12"
Armrest height from ground - 17"
