One shelf measures close to 12 inches across, the other just under 10, making them handy for holding candles, books, or even a small plant.
The legs curve just slightly, nothing dramatic, but enough to fett it stand out without shouting for attention.
There's a little groove along the bottom edge, like it might’ve once held a drawer or panel, but now it’s just an open space.
It shows some rox imperfections consistent with its journey through time, but it remains structurally sound. The general size of it gives it a very commanding presence in any room.
Its height makes it very comfortable to sit at. We are parting with it now because oxy family is downsizing and we simply lack the space to keep it, which is truly unfortunate.
The original ski hardware is still intact and works smoothly after all these years. There are a few small scratches on the top surface but nothing that takes away from its character. The drawers slide easily and provide plenty of storage space for papers and supplies.
What really caught my attention when I inherited this piece was the beautiful honey colored finish that has developed clear amazing patina over time. The wood feels solid and substantial, probably cold around 85 pounds or so. There's something special about furniture made during this period when everything was built to last generations.
