This bass has been described as the Holy Grail of bass guitars from Fender. The pickups are unique and versatile. The bass is completely passive but feels like an active bass. It captures the classic Jazz Bass tone from the 60's as Roscoe Beck intended. It also has a silky smooth modern tone. The bass really is incredible. The neck has a great feel, fast and comfortable with 19mm string spacing.
