The configuration of this guitar is so rare, it is ,without doubt, the HOLY GRAIL of 1968 / 1969 Les Paul Customs.
You can count on one hand the quantity of LP Customs in this configuration, With about 433 production number of 1968 LP Customs, this guitar in this configuration is extremely rare.

The Pots are all original and are dated 137 6140 ( September 1961). It is a well known fact that Gibson utilized some of the 'left over parts' from late 1950's to early 1960's during the limited production of the Gibson Les Paul Custom guitars during 1968 and 1969 period.
The head stock has the dotted (i) and the 1968 head stock wing tips. The neck is not the bat type of heavy necks found on the 1968 but a slimmer and faster neck found only on a very, very limited number of 1968 and 1969’’s .
THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL AND EXTREMLY RARE GUITAR. Serial # is 539xxx. Weight 8.8 lbs
