lol, hey though, so I'm creating this post hoping to find some fellow likeminded vegan &/or leftist artists to collaborate on future projects with. While these themes won't be the focus of all of the art that I want to make, I think that to find some people with similar values/ideologies would be a good starting point for a project.
I'm open to working with people of different skill levels, & am open to playing many different styles of music as well. Certain favorite genres of mine include: psychedelic rock, crust punk, anarchopunk, soul, blues, neocrust (/neo crust), emo/screamo, post-hardcore, powerviolence, grindcore, doom metal, sludge, stoner metal, indie, bebop, jazz, neo-soul, reggae, ska, shoegaze, hip-hop (esp 90's/underground), electronic, grunge, math rock/prog, post-punk, alt rock, funk, black metal, etc...
I also have certain favorite artists like: The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Dystopia, Mephistofeles, Crumb, War, Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, Curtis Mayfield/The Impressions, Frank Ocean, Esperanza Spalding, Vince Staples.... way too many artists to name, really. Please just ask if interested though, & I can definitely share a lot more.
I currently play bass guitar, guitar, & piano, & sing/do vocals as well. I've been playing bass for about ten years, guitar a bit less, & piano for about 5.
I'm also 26 years old, & am looking to conmect with people somewhat around my age.
Even if you don't exactly fit into any of these groups/scenes mentioned, if you still want to ask me a question or have some adjacent interests, or just think we still might make be a good combo, don't hesitate to hit me up. I'm open to connecting with people all over LA County, in OC, & possibly IE/other nearby areas of SoCal too if it makes sense. I currently live in Bellflower & am hoping to move somewhere else nearby soon, but probably not far for now.
Also, I am only open to talking if you are lgbtq+-loving too, of course. Anti-queer views will not be tolerated, thank you.
Lastly, I do not have professional equipment at the moment, & I don't expect you to either. Looking for some long-term things that progress to that when they need to.
