****This is our new generator to alternator bracket conversion kit for the Ford FE engine series. It allows you to mount an alternator on FE powered Ford cars originally equipped with a generator. This kit is all "AMERICAN" made. This is a complete mounting kit and includes all the mounting hardware necessary plus a special bracket that utilizes the original tapped hole on the side of the block that Ford used to attach the original generator mounting bracket. Note that in late 1962 or early 1963 Ford added a tapped hole to the face of the FE block to mount an alternator and this kit will not work on motors with that tapped hole. See the third picture of the tapped hole I'm referring to. If you have this tapped hole or boss this is not the right kit for your car. This kit is for those motors that don't have that tapped hole. If you're not sure contact me and I will help you determine if this is the kit you need. NOTE THIS KIT DOES NOT INCLUDE AN ALTERNATOR. Brackets and hardware only.
