Better MPG, Accurate Speedometer/Odometer and lug nuts fit:
12 inch rims with the standard 155x12 tire get better gas mileage than 13 inch rims, and the speedometer/odometer is more accurate with 155x12 tires on a 12 inch rim.
(13 inch rims need bigger lug nuts/bolts, Speedometer/Odometer is 7% off, and City MPGs worse).
1989-1994 originally had 12 inch rims (but 1995 and later use 13)
