· The employee assists with the cleaning and maintenance of the concrete mix plant and equipment.
· The employee operates a loader to relocate materials or to clean the yard, includes ascending/descending 3 steps, maneuvering a steering wheel, pressing 2 foot pedals (acceleration, brake), maneuvers 2 levers positioned on the right side in conjunction with using a cushioned seat. Alternatively, the employee operates a forklift.
· The employee utilizes a square or round point shovel to relocate rock, sand, debris etc., located underneath conveyors, a pit, or equipment to maintain a clean work area. The employee, depending on the area, places the debris/materials in a wheelbarrow. Once full, the employee relocates and dumps the wheelbarrow contents.
· The employee utilizes a ½-1” water hose to wash plant hardscapes or equipment, includes opening/closing a water valve and relocating the hose.
· The employee, as needed, utilizes basic tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, and sockets to make minor equipment adjustments. May include assisting the repairperson with the replacements of pulleys, conveyors etc.
· The employee cleans the plant 11 yard mixing drum interior at the end of every shift, includes gaining access through a crawl space. The employee balances him/herself on rubber or metal tank paddles in conjunction with using a pneumatic chipping hammer to remove/clean dry concrete from the tank interior.
· The employee maintains inventory and an organized color stock room, includes stocking incoming color or fiber boxes/sacks on/off shelves or pallets.
· The employee, as needed, visits field or street sites to clean concrete spills, includes driving or riding as a passenger and utilizing a shovel/broom to sweep and clean spilled concrete.
· The employee ascends/descends plant stair steps or vertical fixed ladders to access equipment, or parts.
WORK Average 8 to 12 hours per shift, 5 to 6 days per week. However,
SCHEDULE/HOURS: on some days may work less than 8 hours depending on the workload, mechanical failure and inclement weather.
