Overview: Up for sale is an original etching by listed Moroccan artist, Guillaume Azoulay (1949-). Azoulay is a unique artist, skilled in etching, painting and silkscreen works. His pieces often feature horses or other figures. This piece is titled, "La Bete," and depicts a mounted Native American hunting a buffalo. The etching is matted and framed. I believe this piece is signed and numbered, but the matting unfortunately appears to cover up the signature and edition number. I don't want to remove this from the frame to take pictures of the signature. Acquired from an estate sale with a number of Azoulay pieces. Azoulay's works typically sell for $1,000-$2,500.
Condition: Etching is in excellent condition. Frame shows some minor weathering, consistent with age.
Measurements: Etching measures approximately 23.25 inches wide x 17 inches high (sight). Frame measures approximately 33 inches wide x 26.75 inches high.
