This is the 1st printing, published by Simon & Schuster in 1963.
Included is the 32-page manual, with step-by-step instructions for recreating 176 early American designs across various needlework types, including embroidery, crewel work, cross-stitch, needlepoint, patchwork, appliqué, quilting, hooking, knitting, crochet, weaving, candle wicking, plus a special section on rugmaking.
You get not only the manual, but all of the various patterns listed on pages one & two…your getting numerous actual size patterns, with easy-to-read instructions.
Included is both a 32-page Crochet & Knitting booklet, complete with illustrations and instructions, and also, a 12-page booklet on Weaving.
Please note this is not a book; this is a collection of pattern sheets for reproducing Early American designs.
