This fabric is hand loomed and brand new as it was never used after it was purchased in the 1990s in Java It's very traditional and I'm sure it's never imported - it has local applications in traditional households. It is 100 percent natural fabric, cotton. It is quite stiff but probably softens with a wash on a delicate cycle in cold water. I would line dry this.
