This original Mixed Media painting was done by a local Los Angeles artist and was featured in a couple of art magazines.
Mixed Media [oil, acrylic, vintage original Armenian literature pages from short stories of 1952 pasted within]
Titled "History: SILENCED", the painting depicts well-known people in Armenian history (composer Aram Khachadurian, priest and musicologist Komitas Vartabed, singer Charles Aznavour, journalist Hrant Dink and writer William Saroyan) with black bars across their mouths - a metaphor of being forgotten.
The painting is framed and measures 24x30. Coated in resin for a glass-like shine.
