Beautiful Empire Porcelain Co. 1947 Chintz Teacup and Saucer in the "Lilac Time" Pattern. Marked "Empire England B147" (where the number 1 stands for the 1st month of January and the 47 stands for the year this was made.)
The chintz transfer is soft mint green background with an all over leaf and pedal motif with an overlay of beautiful richly colored lilacs in pink, yellow, and bluish-purple...thus the name of the pattern is "Lilac Time".
Plate measures 5.75" across / cup measures 3.25" across and 2.5" tall.

This item was passed down from my Grandmother to my Mother and now onto me. Sadly this does not go with my home decor at all and I have no place to display it and give it the respect that it deserves. I'd rather have it go to a collector who will cherish it and appreciate it's history and beauty, as it continues to become more rare and more valuable with each passing year.

I also have several other more rare and valuable antique teacup sets from companies such as: Longwy France, Queen Ann, Rosina China Co Ltd, Aynsley England, Royal Grafton, Spencer Stevenson, C Jackson, Royal Albert England, Royal Dover England, etc. Prices range from $69 - $245 a set depending on their age and rarity. All sets are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. I have included photos of some of the other sets that I have as well as the Lilac Time set.
