This hardcover book features 157 inspiring profiles of Medal of Honor recipients, with moving essays and stunning portrait photography.
This is a rare COLLECTIBLE copy, because it features a letter about Leroy Petry and it is actually signed by Petry himself.
Petry was sent out on 8 deployents to fight for our country (2 for Operation Iraqi Freedom and 6 for Operation Enduring Freedom).
On his 7th deployment he was sent to Afghanistan to fight the Taliban, and during this battle he was shot through BOTH legs, yet he kept fighting and trying to save his fellow comrades. He then had the lower half of his arm and his hand blown off by a grenade, yet he still kept fighting. For this act of bravery he was awarded the MEDAL OF HONOR in July of 2011. His story is heart-wrenching, but inspiring at the same time.
This book is a MUST READ for any history buff, or fan of the brave men & women who have fought for our nation and our freedom.
This book retails for $50 when it is not even signed by one of the Medal of Honor winners who are featured in the book.
