On his 7th deployment he was sent to Afghanistan to fight the Taliban, and during this battle he was shot through BOTH legs, yet he kept fighting and trying to save his fellow comrades. He then had the lower half of his arm and his hand blown off by a grenade, yet he still kept fighting. For this act of bravery he was awarded the MEDAL OF HONOR in July of 2011. His story is heart-wrenching, but inspiring at the same time.
