Single-Family-Owned 1993 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible 5-Speed
This 1993 Ford Mustang LX convertible was acquired new by a seller’s family member and was purchased by the seller in 2024, and it now shows 32k miles. Subsequent work consisted of repairing the EGR sensor and replacing the clutch, flywheel, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing, fuel pump, water pump, spark plugs, and ignition wires. It is powered by a 302ci V8 linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok rear axle, and it is finished in Vibrant White over white leather upholstery. Equipment includes a white convertible soft top, 17″ Cobra-style alloy wheels, subframe connectors, Flowmaster mufflers, air conditioning, cruise control, and a CD stereo. This Fox-body Mustang LX is now offered with service records and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Vibrant White (WB) and features a white convertible soft top, power-adjustable side mirrors, a fixed antenna, a rear luggage rack, and polished exhaust finishers. There are tears and discoloration in the convertible top. Paint and body blemishes are displayed in the gallery.
The 17″ Cobra-style alloy wheels are mounted with 235/45 Advanta HPZ-02 tires, that were installed in 2024. Standard equipment included a Handling Suspension Package featuring variable-rate springs and a Quadra-Shock rear setup along with power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. Subframe connectors are fitted and the coil springs, control arms, and shocks were replaced in October 2024.
The cabin features articulated front seats and a rear bench upholstered in white leather. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and locks, and a CD player that works intermittently. The airbag has been disconnected. Work under current ownership consisted of repairing the left rear window motor, servicing the air conditioning, and replacing the right convertible latch.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,800-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 32k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.
The 302ci V8 was factory rated at 205 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. Work under current ownership consisted of repairing the EGR sensor and replacing the cap, rotor, fuel pump, water pump, hoses, spark plugs, and ignition wires. The car most recently passed a California Smog check in October 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok rear axle. Work since October 2024 consisted of replacing the clutch, flywheel, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing, and tailpipes.
