The cab roof was removed, a Stay-fast black soft top was fitted, and a fiberglass front clip and rear fenders were installed during the build. The exterior wears a black finish with flame designs on the doors and front panels. Details include running boards, fishtail exhaust finishers, front bumperettes, and a calavera decal on the tailgate.
The replacement steel pickup bed was refinished with stained wood slats and metal runners and is covered by a snap-on tonneau. A checker-plate fuel tank is mounted behind the bulkhead.Red-painted 15″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and are mounted with BF Goodrich Silver town Radial wide-whitewall tires. A matching spare is fitted beneath the pickup bed. The truck rides on a modified suspension, and the seller notes a power-assisted front disc and rear drum brake system were fitted during the build.The banjo-style steering wheel features a V8 horn button and a spinner knob. Smiths instrumentation includes a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The odometer shows 9k miles. This was a show truck has been driven very little.The 351 ci Cleveland V8 was installed under prior ownership, and it breathes through an Edelbrock carburetor and a Batwing-style air cleaner assembly.Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
