Hello and thank you for checking out our post.
We’re looking for a quality sound professional with his/her own equipment who lives in the Agoura Hills area to do sound on a micro-budget feature film. Most of the film will be shot around Agoura Hills with one day in Camarillo and six days at a bar in Ventura (Probably a 2am call time as we have to be there when they’re closed so I have the bar from 1am - 1pm. And it’s a working bar so you must be 21+).
The pay is $200 / day for 15 days so $3000 total. We shoot October 28th through November 13th, with Fridays as our off day.
We’re making real independent cinema here. This is going to be a handcrafted film. We’re going to have a skeleton crew, sound (you), a cinematographer, a producer, and the director will be the entire crew.
This gig isn’t for everyone. It’s going to be a lot of work, but we’ve done this before and we’re very well organized. There won’t be any crazy long days. We’re easy going, and easy to work with.
So we need someone who’s also easy going, fun to be around, and wants to go on a real cinematic adventure. While this will be a lot of work, it’ll also be a really cool experience. We’re going to be spending a lot of time together, so we want to find someone who really jives with us. What’s your favorite film?
I’m the director, Ashley Scott Meyers. You can find me on IMDb and my last two films (which were shot at similar budget levels) are on Tubi to watch for free if you’re interested.
