These sound nice--tight bass and crystal clear highs and midrange. I've been using them in my apartment for music and TV. Just add an amp of your choice and you're good to go. I used a Crown (Harman) amp that is a perfect match and I'm also selling it if you are interested. I also used a Rane EQ to give the bottom end even more boost.
Modeled after JBL's LSR 32 professional studio monitor, the 3-way S38 delivers studio-quality sonic accuracy in a compact bookshelf design. You can position the mirrored pair horizontally with the 4" PolyPlas midrange/1" titanium tweeter array either to the inside for a tighter stereo image, or to the outside for a wider soundstage (great for home theater!). An 8" PolyPlas woofer produces authoritative, punchy bass. No matter where or how you place them, you'll be thrilled by the S38's stunning clarity and lifelike detail
