This is a fully automatic turntable with manual option as well, also has a repeat function. The automation is achieved via a dedicated motor and a solenoid for tonearm lift. It works flawlessly!

These full electronically-controlled, fully-automatic turntables are designed with Kenwood's state-of-the-art technology.
Only a feather touch of the operation switch is required to activate the tonearm, start play back and return the tonearm after play back. In the repeat mode or during playback, the auto-cut function can be actuated and manual operations can be performed.
Variable speed control permits precision speed settings using the power-line frequency as the reference, but can be varied ± 3% for music pitch-matching.
The precision tonearm is static balanced with anti-skate correction and uses an EIA plug-in headshell. A viscous damped cueing lever raises and lowers the tonearm for gentle pause operations.
The chassis base is of Anti-Resonance Compression Base (ARCB). This is compression molded from limestone powders, glass powders and polyester resin to provide the ideal base structure.
