Tarzana-based jewelry supplier to Hollywood is currently looking for someone to help with outside sales events, starting mid-October.
Your tasks would be to attend sales events at various locations in the local areas (Westlake, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, etc.), where you would assist the owner in set-up and sales at parties and luncheons that raise money for many charities. Event dates fall on some weekends and some weekdays, and you will be given all work dates well in advance, so it should be easy to juggle this in with school or other obligations. Event days can be as few as 3 days a month, or as high as 12 days a month, depending on the time of year.
All applicants must be extremely responsible, PUNCTUAL, patient with customers, up on fashion trends, outgoing and good with people. Being a quick learner and taking initiative are all pluses, as is being comfortable in front of crowds at busy sales events. A reliable car of your own is very important, as is living in the local San Fernando Valley area. This is a VERY social environment because you will be working with clients and crowds frequently. You will only be answering to one person and the environment is very low-key and relaxed.
Although this position is seasonal (mid-Oct thru mid-Dec and then again from March thru June), we would love to hire someone that would come back season after season and year after year, so this has the potential to be an ongoing position. There is also the possibility of growing with the company and running your own sales events in the future as well, which would yield more money for you down the road.
