Under the recommendation of my podiatrist, I purchased this Night Splint.
It's been in the factory bag since I brought it home. I only took the boot out to take photographs.
It's meant to be used when you are sleeping, napping or resting.
YOU DO NOT WALK WITH THIS BOOT (a short hop to the restroom is permissible)
On the label it says: Procare, Prowedge Night Splint, Medium.
It's made by Medical Device Safety Service in Hanover, Germany.
It can be worn on either the left OR right foot.
When I did a Google Search, it ideally fits:
6-1/2 to 9-1/2 in MenĀ
7-10 in Women
Prowedge Night Splint provides static passive flexion. Soft, padded cover for nighttime. Protects against skin irritation or beakdown while person is non ambulatory. Comfortable, to enhance compliance. Universal design fits left or right foot.
I think it's primarily prescribed to help treat plantar fasciitis.
