This item includes three (3) framed caricatures on tan paper: one of a man with a large head and smoke rising from the top of his head, another of a man with an airplane and a bird, and another of a smiling woman.
Each framed caricature drawing is signed at the lower right corner. According to an expert, the signatures are all by the same hand and most likely executed by Llloyd Kavich, the artist who painted the iconic murals at The Sink restaurant in Boulder in 1952 and again in 1989 and 1995.
It could be possible, according to the expert, that Kavich did work for the iconic Brown Derby restaurant in Hollywood, which was open from the 1920s to the 1980s.
The caricature drawing of the smiling woman has a caption below the signature that reads “THAT SCOUNDREL.”
Each framed caricature drawing measures approximately 20 3/4” x 14 5/8” and is in very good/excellent condition.
