Material list below
HUGE!
12 foot 4 inches long (148 inches long), 49.5" tall, and 21" deep
The shelves are just under 18" deep.
Each side shelf is 36" wide or 3 feet. The gap in the middle is 72" wide or 6 feet
Unit is built to be split in half for transport
We think we had between 3,500 - 4,000 pounds on it when it was fully loaded on each shelf and the top
Photo only shows it at a later date under a cover with everything removed from the top and some other lighter, but long items in it
It held over $7,000 in tool steel, $650 mild steel, $750 in hardwood lumber and a bunch of other stuff all at the same time
And it never blinked!
Body is made of better quality materials.
Exterior treated lumber for the entire base, feet and framing so those can get wet.
3/4" Baltic Birch plywood with 13 super tight void free layers for extreme strength for the shelves top and bottom
NOT generic and weak birch ply
Regular hardwood plywood is only 5-6 layers and nowhere near as strong as Baltic Birch
ONLY exterior grade hardware / coated deck screws.
All tan parts were painted first with white weather proof paint
Then built together and painted again with better grade exterior paint

Each shelf support is screwed in. Not pinned. So they hold tighter.
Each shelf is screwed into the supports. We had (and still do have) around 100-140 pounds on each shelf. More if we spanned two shelves. You can unscrew each level and raise or lower them for different sizes
The unit was built to hold thousands of pounds on the flat bottom with 12 foot solid steel bars in mind.
And to hold 12 foot hardwood lumber on top
Each shelf supports a lot of weight but spanning two shelves is even stronger.
Split in the middle to hold a variety of items. Or to load materials or take them back out easier
It got rained on plenty of times with a cover over it (planned).
It sat in a few inches of water as planned which the brown treated exterior lumber was used for
It is not plastic so it is not technically 100% waterproof but it is VERY water resistant
It is now in our storage facility holding around $7,500 in tool steel bar stock, Stainless steel, even a 112 pound anvil that is 22 inches long (last picture was taken in the 15 foot long storage unit)
