Large Scandinavian mid century modern teak and oak drop leaf desk, made in Denmark c. 1960s. Features a solid oak frame that supports a 57 inch teak desktop, a dovetailed drawer module, and an extension that adds over 20 inches when deployed — ample space to support a modern workstation. The extension is removable when not in use.
The drawer module can be reversed so you can sit with it to your left or to your right depending on preference. The extension can float off to the side of the desktop, or the entire surface can be slid towards the center for a symmetrical configuration.
A beautiful and versatile piece that resembles the 1950s and 1960s designs of Hans Wegner, Borge Mogensen, and Arne Vodder.
Fully refinished. One patch of the desktop had been damaged and was expertly touched up. This area remains slightly darker than the wood around it.
