Model 1525 floor lamp by Arthur Jacobs for Modeline of California, made in the mid 1960s. The base and frame are sculpted from solid korina wood, refinished without stain to bring them closer in color to the brass stem and decorative base plate.

The light assembly has two bulbs – one lower and one higher – allowing for three on positions (lower on, upper on, both on). The conical shade provides perfectly diffuse lighting and has an attractive visual texture of its own.

The wooden components have been fully refinished and the lamp has been rewired. The original shade remains in excellent vintage condition.

A beautiful, versatile, and collectible piece of American mid century modern design.
