A set of four fully restored teak and oak CH 23 dining chairs, designed by Hans Wegner in 1950 and produced by Carl Hansen & Son. This particular set was made in the 1960s and perfectly embodies Danish mid century modern design.
CH 23 remained in production through the 1960s and was reintroduced in 2017. The modern variations are available only in oak and walnut, however, making the teak and oak originals rarer and more collectible. The contrasting grain patterns and color of the woods highlights the signature joinery of the seat backs, a design element that makes CH 23 instantly recognizable.
The seats have been upholstered in a soft beige leather from Edelman's Royal Hide collection, similar in color to the original paper cord seats.
