A pair of 1960s Danish beechwood lounge chairs with brass leg caps, attributed to Folke Ohlsson for Dux.
The arms taper gracefully like airplane wings, seamlessly connecting to the top of the front legs at their narrowest point. The rear legs bend subtly inwards, with the arms branching out organically from the inflection point. The slatted backs are as important aesthetically as they are functionally, making the chair a pleasure to look at from any angle.
Many Dux chairs lounge, including this pair, were designed to be assembled and disassembled without tools, making them easy to flat pack.
The frames were fully restored. We opted to finish them without stain, allowing the natural golden color of the beechwood to shine through. The brass leg caps were polished back to showroom condition, shining like new. The cushions, webbing, and fabric are in excellent condition.
