This 54" round glass table top was used in a model home for a week. We decided to keep the brown base and use it for another design project so only the glass top is being sold. I have the original receipt from April 4th showing that it cost $$1341.40 to have made. The glass is tempered so it can not shatter into pieces if it breaks and is stronger and sturdier than untempered glass. It also measures 1/2" thick. It is perfect for any round dining table. You can usually seat 4-6 around this size top. What makes it so high-end looking, pretty and unique is the "chiseled" edge, which almost makes it look like a waved ribbon has been carved all the way around the outer edge. This is VERY expensive to have done.
I have taken almost $1,000 of the original cost for two reason....
1) To get it sold fast
2) Because the glass got a few flaws in it while I was having it moved into and out of the home. I have tried to highlight the flaws and circle them to show you, but they are pretty hard to see when you're looking at the glass as a whole. There is a chip in one of the inner areas of the chiseled edge, and there are also a few scratches on the top surface of the glass (examples of these imperfections are shown in the last 2 photos).
Most of these imperfections would probably buff out with a professional glass person, and I can recommend a great one in the San Fernando Valley if needed, so you can get this top looking almost as good as new again if you so choose. Otherwise just use it as is, if a few little imperfections don't bother you, especially since you're getting a huge glass table top that was recently made for $1,000 less than you can have it remade for.
