Made in Switzerland by Ruege. Arnex watch company imported the open face watch into the United States under their brand name. It has a 17-jewel stem-wind Swiss movement. With the setting of the alarm or the push of a demonstration button on the back a melody plays Oh What A Beautiful Morning as the woman pumps flowing water, the horse's head moves up and down to drink water, the man's hand is releasing a a bird and a wheel inside the movement gives the illusion of water running from the pump spigot. The back opens up to become an easel stand and it will sit nicely for a table display. The background of the dial is a country motif. Case is GOLD-PLATED 10 microns and has ribbed edges. Hands and sweep second are yellow with a black alarm indicator. The Ruege music winds from the back with the lyre key. Comes with the original silk cloth tapestry covered box in which to store the winding key. The watch has been nicknamed "Hunter's Rest" or "The Fountain". Comes with original instructions.
