Calabasas Pawz Inn is a premier doggie and kitty daycare and boarding facility committed to providing a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all our canine and feline guests. We treat every dog and cat like family and maintain the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision: Actively monitor and manage playgroups of dogs of various sizes and temperaments to ensure a safe and positive environment.
Safety & Health: Recognize and address potential conflicts or signs of illness/distress immediately. Maintain a clean and sanitary facility, including cleaning up after dogs and performing general maintenance tasks.
Customer Service: Interact with pet owners professionally during drop-off and pick-up, providing positive updates on their dog's day and capture and post social media content throughout the day.
Enrichment: Engage dogs in appropriate activities, provide individual attention, and manage feeding/water and walking schedules.
Teamwork: Communicate effectively with team members regarding dog behavior, facility status, and owner requests.
Qualifications
Experience: Previous professional experience working with dogs (e.g., vet assistant, shelter work, dog walking, or daycare) is a plus, but a strong passion for dogs and a willingness to learn is essential.
Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle large or strong dogs safely.
Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and a strong work ethic.
Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills.
Must be 18 years or older, have reliable means of transportation and available to work weekends and holidays.
