This is the only bike of my fleet that allowed me to ride Latigo Canyon up in 12 minutes and 25 seconds (my record).
I'm a 54 year old motorcycle tech and this is the bike I modified the most.
Pistons were replaced 14,300 miles ago with new Hayabusa pistons. Those pistons required to hone cylinders 4 thou, are lighter and give a bit more compression. I also removed one layer of the three cylinder head gaskets are made of, to achieve more compression too. At that point I also decided to cut valve seats on the cylinder heads to start completely fresh. This bike also has the "1st gen Camshaft swap". It consists of using a fuel injected model Intake camshafts and use them on the Intake and use those just replaced 1st gen intake camshafts for the exhaust valves. This mod is known to provide an average increase of 8hp through the whole power line. APE manual timing chain adjusters replaced the stock hydrolic ones that used to go bad very often. I also replaced stock carburetors with a set of two Keihin FCR41 "Flatslide" racing carburetors that also added power significantly.
For the ignition I used a Factory Pro 4 degree Ignition Advance Kit. Exhaust full system is a Arrow using a different brand muffler. Arrow full system worked the best on this bike because it's engineered following a gradual increase of diameter in different sections of it going from thinner to wider. I tried a different brand one too but this one is much better. I was wondering why they were selling it for $1,900.00 + tax when it was still available.
I gave it the green and red wire mod too.
For the frame I opted for a set of forks off of a 97 Honda CBR600 F3 that have pre-load and rebound adjusters. The rear shock was replaced with a fully adjustable WP shock made for the SV650 with a remote gas reservoir. Rear wheel is still off of a 97 CBR600 F3 with customized spacers provided by Zoran for this mod. This wheel can host a 180/55-17 tyre instead of the stock 160/60-17.
Front brakes have been upgraded with a set of 02 GSXR1000 6 piston calipers, sintered brake pads, steel braided lines, Brembo RSC 19mm radial master cylinder and Motul DOT 5.1 brake fluid. Sintered brake pad, steel braided line and Mobil DOT 5.1 brake fluid for the rear brake too.
Front Carbon Fiber fender is from a Ducati 888. Passenger seat cowling was the last one available from Suzuki as a OEM Suzuki Racing accessory. Same for those little triangular plates that fill up the gap left by the removed passenger grab handle. A "street fighter" headlight and headlight housing is now installed on the bike but a round one like shown in one picture comes with the bike. Same is for that windshield shown in a picture. Passenger seat and grab handle go with the bike too. It also has a rack that was sold by Suzuki as OEM Accessory.
Stock analogic instruments have been replaced with a Trail Tech Vapor device that provides Speed, Tachometer, Coolant temperature, atmospheric temperature and more. I also installed another Trail Tech accessory that is a cluster that goes around the Vapor to let you have four service lights. I decided to use them for Neutral, Turn Signals, High Temperature and 1st Fuel Reserve.
Bike comes with a mobile phone holder and charger.
There's also a second clock on it.
Mirrors are aftermarket for Kawasaki bikes.
Most stock parts will go with the bike.
Valve clearance was taken care 5,600 miles ago with NGK Iridium spark plug replacement.
Clutch (fiber and metal plates) was replaced 5,500 miles ago.
Tapered steering head bearings were replaced 1,100 miles ago.
Sintered front brake pads 230 miles ago together with a Mobil1 10w40 synthetic motor oil and filter change.
Stock pistons are in my garage sitting in Hayabusa piston boxes. They'll be shown to the buyer and given to him/her if really required. LoL
