I'm a 54 year old motorcycle tech and this is my 06 RM250. It comes with a Eric Gorr 295cc Big Bore Cylinder job. Bike also comes with a Lectron Carburator installed and a very hard to find Bill's pipe.
This recipe gives the bike a huge boost in performance that it's now compatible to recent 450 4 stroke, leaving the agility, lightness and "turbo like" response of a 2 stroke bike. In order to make this bike rideable I had to add one tooth to the front sprocket and take 3 off of the rear one. (see picture - 14/47 instead of 13/50).
2006 and on was the best generation of this bike that Ricky Carmichael was able to win both the AMA Supercross and AMA Motocross championships with that year.

If you still want the typical big hit at higher RPMs if you go to the desert or open areas, you'll also have a set of 2005 power valve cams (not available from SUZUKI anymore - see picture). It takes 10 minutes to replace them and jetting doesn't need to get changed.
34 riding hours ago I completely rebuilt the engine by splitting the cases, replacing crankshaft, all bearings, water pump shaft, primary gear, several transmission gears, piston and every gasket. JT Chain and sprockets were replaced one ride ago.
