I have created the most impressive DR that money can buy. Shy of crash bars and Bark Busters, This DR has the best of the best in terms of modifications that you would want. All done by me, which is good for you because I take the time to do my upgrades with care and attention to detail that a shop can't afford to do. This is my 28th motorcycle in my 46 years of riding. It appears to be my M.O. to purchase motorcycles. customize the crap out of them and, after a year or two, sell them and move on to my next project. I guess I get a dopamine release purchasing, installing and enjoying my creations and luckily, I normally find a buyer willing to compensate me for all my hard work. As a senior rider with multiple motorcycles, I can assure you that this bike has been meticulously maintained, never flogged and always garage kept. I hope you make it through the itemized list of the modifications I have made. If this motorcycle is not for you but you know of somebody who might be interested, please share it with them. Thank you.
The modifications/accessories on this motorcycle including the purchase price have brought the cost to around $14,500 so although it might appear that I am seeking to make a profit on this bike, that is not the case.
From front wheel to license plate:
Warp 9 wheels front and rear with black hub, black spokes, black spoke weights and a matching black sprocket OEM 15-42 teeth
Original in perfect condition OEM rims with all necessary spacers, sprocket and balanced for a quick swap out with super aggressive tires for dirt riding brand new never been used.
Front disk protector, steel braided front brake line, carbon fiber fork protectors, speedometer cable delete.
Black Oak LED light bar with combo spot flood light with clear and amber covers to protect from rocks, secure focus after installing a two light setup on previous projects, I realized that the focus always moved and when used, the beam spread was never retained so lesson learned this system is rock solid and the beam is always where it is expected to be. It will be my go to setup for all future projects. The illuminated rocker switch is not on a constant so no worries about someone turning your aux lights on when you are away from your bike and killing your battery.
LED headlight and four matching mini flexible turn signals. The LED headlight is super bright and saves precious amps for use for other things.
Trailtech Voyager instrument cluster with GPS, tachometer, speedometer, engine temperature, voltage, altimeter, trip meters, fuel monitor, customizable user screens displaying the information you want, clock and more.
Dual USB illuminated socket, Warp 9 front brake control slider. shorty front brake lever, custom, built by me, front brake reservoir ram mount 1inch ball to hold your cell phone couldn't find proper size anywhere so crafted my own. It came out great.
Madstad 20-inch windscreen that is completely adjustable to height and tilt and hinged to lower about eight inches for dirt riding with a 16-inch additional windscreen for motorcycle vacations when dirt riding was going to be expected. Creates a very smooth pocket of zero buffeting riding experience so a half or three-quarter helmet can be worn with exceptional comfort and no bugs to your face or chest. All hardware painted black to match the look of the bike.
IMS 4.9-gallon fuel tank to extend you range to about 250 miles. All "plumbing" has been removed to save weight and increase engine performance. Jet kit and air box modifications make this DR quite the screamer, much more linear power than stock.
Warp 9 engine covers both sides and Acerbis frame covers both sides.
Powder coated footpegs, passenger pegs and mounts and SWINGARM, black top and bottom chain guards really make this DR standout from the rest.
Sargent low comfortable seat, heated gear power supply and a rear USB power supply give you useable power availability in three separate locations. Lithium-ion lightweight battery
Susuki OEM titanium exhaust from a 2001 GSXR 1000 purchase brand new from Sweeden at a cost of over $700 save over 10 pounds in exhaust weight and does have a spark arrester screen added to the interior so it won't be problematic to a ranger on a trail. Three expensive exhaust guards are lightweight, protect that irreplaceable titanium exhaust and create a barrier between exhaust and any panniers you might decide to install
Custom helmet holder added to OEM helmet holder so that you can hang your helmet without needing the key to access it.
Pro cycle rack with ability to hold a fuel cell if extra fuel is necessary for an adventure.
Suzuki DRZ taillight replaces the awkwardly ugly stock DR 650 Taillight and still has excellent visibility.
Warp 9 Rear Disk Guard, lightweight Acerbis skid plate
A sizeable and expandable Nelson Rigg tail bag allows you to bring just about anything you want including extra layers, lunch and snacks etc. with you on your errands or journey.
All stock items including OEM gas tank, seat, taillight, plumbing, rims will be included with purchase. This DR is lighter than stock with the much lighter exhaust and the removed plumbing and the Lithium ion battery. Thanks for taking the time to read this ad in full. I probably missed a couple of modifications that I just don't remember at the moment. Some might consider this motorcycle to look like something that Batman would be seen riding as I really took the black out everything theme to the extreme.
