Our client, a large manufacturer, is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join their team in Chatsworth, CA. This role is responsible for evaluating, repairing, and processing returned products—supporting the full RMA lifecycle and ensuring high-quality service and documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and assess returned medical equipment to determine repair needs.
Manage the RMA process from intake to final shipment, maintaining accurate database records.
Communicate with customers regarding repair assessments and obtain approvals for billable work.
Generate and manage RMA forms based on customer interactions via phone and email.
Create sales orders for approved repairs and coordinate billing with customer service.
Follow up on warranty replacements and required part returns.
Immediately report any medical device incidents (MDRs) to the QA/RA Director.
Support quality improvement initiatives through detailed recordkeeping and trend tracking.
Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
Recommend process, safety, or quality improvements as needed.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Technical Services Manager or leadership team.
Requirements:
Experience in product repair, technical support, or a related field is required.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and repair forms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Proficiency with computers and repair tracking databases.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Professional and customer-focused demeanor in all interactions.
Pay & Schedule:
Pay Rate: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 7:35 AM – 4:35 PM
