ASSEMBLY & TEST TECHNICIAN - VALVES & COMPONENTS
OVERVIEW
OPPORTUNITY FOR AN EXPERIENCED TEST TECHNICIAN TO JOIN A CUTTING-EDGE AEROSPACE COMPONENT MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT. US CITIZENSHIP OR LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS IS REQUIRED. WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF VALVE/FLUID SYSTEM COMPONENT ASSEMBLY AND TESTING IS REQUIRED.
The Test Technician is responsible for assembly and testing of aerospace components. This is a dynamic position that requires the flexibility to adapt quickly between different products families and test environments and proficiency in a broad set of trades. The candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate a significant track record of hands-on experience and excellent workmanship.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Preparing hardware for assembly in a clean room environment
2. Inspecting precision machined components
3. Assembling accumulators, valves, regulators, filters, and other fluid system components
4. Performing pressure, leakage, and other performance testing in accordance with procedures
5. Operating test system equipment, reading instrumentation and using computer systems to log test results
6. Assembling test setups per plumbing and instrumentation diagrams
7. Troubleshooting components and test anomalies
8. Maintaining a professional and neat work area

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Independently motivated to learn and grow professionally
• Maintain optimal focus during working hours and avoid distractions
• Team oriented and trustworthy, a history of demonstrating good character and strong values
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience repairing or maintaining complex systems such as cars, aircraft, helicopters, or other aerospace systems:
o Level I: Minimum of 2 years (Hobbies, DIY projects, or club experience may be considered)
o Level II: Minimum of 5 years programming/setup experience
o Level III: Minimum of 10 years programming/setup experience
o Level IV: Minimum of 15 years programming/setup experience
o Level V: Minimum of 20 years programming/setup experience
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Must be open to work variable schedules including overtime or weekends as needed
• Must be open to travel to customer and vendor locations
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
• Submit at least two (2) professional references with application
• Willingness to be subject to a background check and drug/alcohol testing
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Trade school or other training certificate, A & P license desired
• Military service as a mechanic
• Experience with aircraft or spacecraft components and testing
• Familiarity with cleanliness standards for oxidizer systems
• Training in the assembly, installation, removal and tear down of components
• High pressure pneumatic system safety
• Knowledge of pressure, temperature and flow measurement devices
• Basic mathematical skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel)
• Attention to detail
• Good verbal communication skills
• The ability to work independently or as part of a team, meeting aggressive schedules
COMPENSATION
Full Benefits package, including Silver PPO medical plan, dental, vision, 401k w/ 100% match, company holidays, vacation pay, sick pay
1. Level I: $24-26/Hour, $50-75k/Year w/ OT
2. Level II: $26-28/Hour, $55-80k/Year w/ OT
3. Level III: $28-30/Hour $60-$85k/Year w/ OT
4. Level IV: $30-35/Hour, $70-100k/Year w/ OT
5. Level V: $35-40/Hour, $80-115k/Year w/ OT
ITAR REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must conform to U.S. Government technology export (ITAR) regulations. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
