This American made Carvin is Carvins entry into the vintage 80s Super Strat market with a bolt on neck like a Fender Stratocaster and has an ash body with a maple neck and Ebony Fretboard and the Wilkinson vibrato. It is just a really good quality USA guitar for less than the price of a Mexican Strat.
It has a master volume and tone control along with a standard 5-way switch. It is very versatile as it has a mini-toggle that lets you to bring in the bridge pickup in positions four and five, which you cant do on most Strats. There's also an extra mini-toggle that splits the bridge humbucker into single-coil mode. So, the variety of sounds available on this guitar are wide and helpful.
The Wilkinson tremolo works great and stays in tune and the Sperzel locking tuners work great as well and the guitar plays amazing like most Carvins do.
It has an ebony fingerboard and 22 medium-jumbo stainless steel frets. Carvin necks are amazing. The guitar's 25.5" scale and 15" radius felt extremely comfortable, and the necks tung oil finish is super smooth and adds to the playability.
