This was an over-purchase by an A-list recording artist who has TWO of these amazing one-of-a-kind Gold Tone MicroBass guitar-scale acoustic-electric versions. These were picked out for the beautiful grain and natural tone/intonation. The wiring was upgraded and a top-tier fret-job and set-up was lovingly applied to these two one-off special modified basses. Upgraded ultra sensitive pickup works beautifully with the onboard tuner, making it respond even quicker.
SO FUN to play and these things sound AMAZING. The strings were swapped out with a special formulation rubber strings made in Italy. Great acoustically and really cuts through in low-key situations. But when you need some boost, just plug it in to a mix board, a speaker system or whatever size amp your situation needs. Really nice high-end active transducer is in this beauty.

The MicroBass: a tonal goldmine!
With its minuscule size, you may wonder if this bass is worth its salt. Well, test those strings with your own fingers, and you’ll find this delightfully playable acoustic-electric bass serves up tones like that of an upright bass with plenty of volume to spare. The bass achieves this with a set of Aquila MicroBass rubber/polymer strings but can also be equipped with silver-wrapped nylon strings (sold separately). If you’re looking to dig into that upright quality, you can choose to go the fretless MicroBass route. The MicroBass also leverages stunning electric tone, thanks to its built-in piezo pickup. When playing electronically, you can use the active preamp EQ module and tuner to set everything to your liking before the jam. The 25 has all of the features of the M-Bass 23 but with a longer 25" scale and ten percent more interior volume in the body.
