Up for grabs is a Friedman Steve Stevens SS-100 V1 that was just upgraded to the V2 circuit and had a Thump knob installed by Dave Friedman last week. The Thump knob was installed in the line out jack so no new holes were drilled. It's a great functional addition. I am the second owner. The original owner never gigged it and it sat in his studio rack the entire time which explains why it looks like it could be new. There is not a single minuscule tear in the tolex anywhere, even the corners and the grill is perfect. The original owner had the bias set too hot and told me to lower it, not something I've ever done so even though I played it for 15 minutes at his place, the tubes got fried after I played it at home. That's why it went to Dave, thankfully he is 10 minutes away. So it has brand new JJ EL34s and a diode was replaced with the upgraded circuit and Thump knob. I figured why not, get the newer circuit in the better looking amp. So it is both cosmetically and functionally perfect. This amp, in my opinion has the best damn clean channel I have ever heard on a multi channel high gain amp. It has an incredible Fender like chime and takes pedals incredibly well. Personally I am a much bigger fan of the looks of this amp compared to the V2. I love the big Ray Gun badge and the small Ray Gun that lights up as the power on indicator. The grill pattern is unique and great. I'm also a fan of the silver knobs against the black face plate, any Raiders fans?

It does come with an off brand 2 button foot switch that works. The LED on the right button is not functioning. Stepping on the left/clean side switches between clean to SS/SS+ and you can hear the difference.

It's rare and your clients or band mates will be impressed.

From Friedman:

SS-100 - 2 Channel + Boost - 100 Watts - Handwired;

Dave Friedman’s first signature amplifier, the SS-100 was created to guitarist extraordinaire, Steve Stevens’ exacting tonal demands. The SS100 is a 100-watt EL34 powered, two channel plus BOOST, high gain tone machine that is capable of producing many styles of music from blues to classic rock and from heavy rock to metal by simply adjusting the gain and master controls. Likewise the versatile and gorgeous clean channel is great for a whole palette of styles.

You will notice instantly, the tight bottom end and rich harmonically detailed chords and single notes. This amp cleans up remarkably well with the guitar’s volume control, even with the amp on higher gain settings.

The SS100 takes pedals very well and loves boosts, OD’s, phasers, flangers, tremolos, wahs, etc. The SS100 has ultra transparent Series FX loop that takes time based FX pedals and rack units equally well.
